Barbados was a blast! I was very pleased to celebrate my Thirty “ONE”derlust Birthday in this beautiful country!! It has been one of my most relaxing, safe and eventful experiences. Even though I did not see one of my favorite entertainers, Rihanna, it was still amazing! Barbados has been on my bucket list for a few years. When I saw that American Airline had a 3 hour flight from Miami to Barbados, I inquired! I booked my tickets as two one-ways. From Miami to Barbados it was under $100. My return flight on a Thursday was a little over $200! Be sure to check the flight schedules because only a select Airline carries fly to and from Barbados.

Upon my arrival at the Hilton Barbados Resort, I was greeted pleasantly by several Bajans ( Barbados Citizens). As a Hilton Diamond member, the hotels are usually pretty resourceful in setting up airport to hotel transfers before my international stay. The prices vary, but it was $15 USD each way. Not bad for a 30 min ride! Once I arrived at the resort, the hotel staff was friendly and worked efficiently to accommodate me for an early check in! The rooms were nice and spacious with a great view of the ocean. The resort was centrally located and contained everything one would need on their travel extravaganza including 3 swimming pools, spa, restaurants, transportation and cafe .The Restaurants ( Gilligan’s Seafood Shack, Castaways Bar, Laguna Restaurant and Sunset Grille Restaurant) were all amazing! I enjoyed the jerk and curry chicken the most!!! It reminded me of Jamaica! Also, the cafe had the best strawberry cheesecake one could imagine! See the ” Food Section” of the blog for images!

I spent my time there relaxing, soaking up the sun, enjoying good food, swimming, snorkeling and having “yachts” of fun on a 5 hour Lunch Catamaran Cruise which was all set up by the travel company Small World Big Fun who are my amazing travel agents. This group provides the most seamless and unique experiences! Overall, this was one of the best out of the country experiences I have had!
